Before you hit the snowy roads, take a few steps to ensure your adventure is both fun and safe.
1. Lights
Winter days are short, and snow can reduce visibility. With Bike E-Bike Plus, your e-bike comes equipped with front and rear lights to ensure you can see and be seen, but consider adding extra lights for enhanced visibility during darker winter days. Be sure your rear brake lights are working to alert others, especially in snowy or overcast conditions. Bike E-Bike Plus may have extra lights on hand, but this is not guaranteed.
2. Tires for Snow
Winter roads in Durand can be slick with snow and ice, but Bike E-Bike Plus’s fat tires are designed for extra grip and stability in these conditions. Whether you're navigating the backroads or cruising through town, your e-bike will give you the confidence to ride safely in the snow.
3. Fenders
Snow, slush, and road debris are part of winter riding, but e-bike’s fenders will keep the mess off you and protect your bike’s electrical components. Whether you're exploring Durand’s countryside or just taking a spin through town, fenders are a great addition for winter rides.
4. Dress Warm in Layers
Stay warm and comfortable by layering up! Use a moisture-wicking base layer, an insulated jacket for warmth, and a waterproof outer layer to shield you from wind and snow. Waterproof gloves, shoes, and sunglasses will help protect you from the elements while keeping you dry and warm.
5. Hydration & Comfort
Even in the cold, staying hydrated is important. Bring an insulated water bottle to keep your drink from freezing. If you’re just going for a leisurely ride around Durand, a thermos of hot coffee or cocoa is a great companion to enjoy along the way. And when you’re ready for a real break, Durand has plenty of great places to grab a drink or a meal!
